Escape the winter blues at Poundon House for a wonderful yoga weekend in the UK.   Wrapped in the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, this yoga weekend provides the perfect opportuntiy to rest and recharge. Take this opportunity to immerse yourself in a full schedule and spectrum of yoga and practices, eat delicious, healthy vegetarian food, and return home feeling refreshed and restored. 
The focus of this UK yoga weekend will be on setting your intentions for the year to come.

The Venue

Poundon house is stunning and spacious; set within six acres of landscaped gardens on the edge of the Oxfordshire-Buckinghamshire border. This Queen Anne style  House offers a luxury escape in the peace and tranquility of the countryside, with the bonus of being within easy reach of London, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, the Cotswolds and Bristol.
Once you arrive at Poundon House, you will feel immediately at home. Whether it is settling down in front of a roaring open fire, taking a long bath in one of the unique bathrooms or going for a quiet walk in the apple orchard, for over a century Poundon has been the perfect place to escape the bustle of city life.

The Yoga

Over the course of the weekend there will be four meditation sessions and four yoga sessions.  
The morning yoga practices will be be a dynamic, creative, playful and explorative ‘deep slow flow’ asana practice and will include meditation and pranayama.The afternoon sessions will be a mellower, soothing and nurturing practice, delving into areas such as yin yoga, restoratives, pranayama, chakras, yoga nidra and meditation.  This will be a deeply nourishing and blissful practice.
The focus of this weekend will be to clarify and build our positive intention and resolve for the year to come. Also a physical focus on cleansing, purifying and creating the space for change and transformation to happen in our lives.

Jeff has lots of experience teaching students of all levels. His depth of understanding, playful approach, ability to challenge students to safely explore their edge and his love of pranayama and meditation will give you the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice both physically and internally.



Things to do

In your free time between yoga sessions and mealtimes you have the opportunity to enjoy the grounds and surrounding countryside as there are lots of walking opportunities. There are lovely characterful bathrooms just inviting you to take a long soak, massages are available and there is a lovely, comfy lounge where you can curl up by the open fire with a book and a cup of tea. 


There are ten unique and beautifully restored bedrooms, two singles and the rest double/twins or triples.  The house has retained all of its original features so all bedrooms are without en-suites.  They all have their own style and are spacious with a luxurious feel but also comfortable and very relaxing.


You will be treated this weekend to a healthy feast of lovingly prepared  delicious, home cooked vegetarian food, which will nourish your body and your soul.  The food is largely vegan and gluten free but there will be eggs and dairy options available.

£415 per person based on 2 or 3 people sharing
£535 single occupancy, small double (limited availability)
£585 single occupancy, large double (limited availability)

If you are coming on your own and want to share we will put you with another person of the same sex.

A limited number of singles are available for a single supplement of £120 for a small double and £170 for a large double

A deposit of £200 is required to confirm your space or you can choose to pay the full amount if you wish.

The balance is due 6 weeks before the retreat  on 12 December 2019 and is payable by bank transfer.  Details will be provided on booking

  • Delicious homemade vegetarian food,  from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.
