18-25 MAY 2019

From £825

A wonderful opportunity to escape to the tranquillity and peacefully, beautiful countryside of  South West France, immerse deeply in a transformative yoga & meditation practice and truly relax and unwind. Between yoga sessions you can sun yourself by the clear pool, walk for hours in the unspoilt countryside, enjoy a massage, nap or simply just be. Away from the demands and stresses of everyday life you can truly let go and return home feeling replenished and rejuvenated.

The Venue

Our home for the week, a beautifully restored rural farmhouse situated to the South of Angoulouse in sunny South West France.  Operating as a yoga retreat in France since 2004 Les Passeroses has been voted in the top 10 Guardian Retreats and the Times top 20 retreats and this truly is a special venue.
The house has been lovingly restored, retaining its originaloak floors, exposed beams and stone fireplaces and is simply but stylishly furnished. We practice yoga in the fully equipped, light filled studio which open out onto the lovely oval pool and terrace with gorgeous panoramic views.
The Yoga

The long morning practice will be a dynamic, creative, playful and explorative ‘deep slow flow’ asana practice and will include meditation and pranayama.  By emphasizing the breath, mindfulness & skillful action and building up through a range of appropriate options – students, from the less experienced to the more advanced, will discover how to work peacefully at the level appropriate to them.

The afternoon session will be a mellower, soothing and nurturing practice, delving into areas such as yin yoga, restoratives, pranayama, chakras, yoga nidra and meditation.  This will totally bliss you out!

Jeff has lots of experience teaching students of all levels. His depth of understanding, playful approach, ability to challenge students to safely explore their edge and his love of pranayama and meditation will give you the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice both physically and internally.

Things to do

Between yoga sessions, you are free to relax on the terrace by the pool, read, enjoy a massage, go for a long walk in the lovely countryside, you can hire bikes and explore, enjoy the company of new friends or simply just enjoy time by yourself away from all the usual demands and  challenges of regular life.

Getting here

Getting here is easy from the UK and the rest of Europe by taking a Eurostar/train/flight to Paris and then a train to Angouleme.

From London we recommend the Eurostar which can be booked all the way through from the UK (through http://loco2.com/) and is such an easy, hassle free way to travel and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Transfer at Paris or Lille, although Lille is easier.

We can arrange transfers from Angouleme station to Les Passeroses for 30 euros per person return. You can also fly to Bordeaux, but the transfer to Les Passeroses takes longer and is more expensive.

Cancellation policy

The deposit is refundable up until 10 weeks before the start of the retreat, after that the balance is due and any paments can only be refunded or transferred if the space can be filled.

Any refunds made will be less a £100 admin fee.

Travel insurance

It is a condition of this holiday that you purchase travel insurance which includes cancellation insurance.

None of us can predict unexpected events in our lives: illness, family emergencies, work conflicts, etc.  By purchasing a comprehensive plan, you will ensure being covered in full should you need to cancel after the said cancellation period.
